The Report Definition screen allows you to choose the columns by which you want to group your report by. You also define the columns for which you would like totals and sub totals.

The steps include:

  1. Enter the title of the report.
  2. If necessary, you may add a special SQL Where clause to control all of the data returned in the report.
  3. In Maximum result rows, choose the maximum number of rows to be returned in the result list. The default is 100. BulletProof recommends 200 or less to minimize network load and maximize query speed.
  4. Add a column from the main list to the group by list.
  5. Choose whether or not you want to subtotal or total this column.
Press the Reset button if you want to undo all your selections and changes. Once you have setup all your result parameters, press Accept.

Now press the Column Settings tab.
